“A year ago, Russia plunged Mariupol into the worst horrors of war. The lives of hundreds of thousands of people have been destroyed. This city has become a symbol of Ukrainian invincibility and human disaster,” Akhmetov said.
He added that the allocated money will be used to select the best city regeneration projects. It is noted that Ukrainians will be given the opportunity to jointly form the image of a revived city.
“There is terrible destruction in Mariupol, but this city should have new bright pages of history after the war. I want Mariupol to symbolize the revival of Ukraine,” Akhmetov summed up.
