Al-Amine Nejjar, new chairman of the board of Al Barid Bank

Al-Amine Nejjar was appointed head of the management board of Al Barid Bank during a meeting of the supervisory board of the public bank, a subsidiary of the Barid Al Maghrib group, held on November 30, 2022. He held, until his appointment, the position of adviser to the Minister of Industry and Commerce Ryad Mezzour.

The new strongman of Al Barid Bank has previously held several positions of responsibility within Moroccan banking groups. In particular, he held the position of Deputy Managing Director of the CIH in charge of retail banking and real estate, as well as the position of Chairman of the Management Board of Wafa Immobilier, a subsidiary of the Attijariwafa bank group.

Al-Amine Nejjar holds a Diploma of Higher Studies (DESUP) in business management in developing countries from Paris Dauphine University. This 55-year-old native of Salé is also vice-president of the Alliance of Istiqlalian economists.
