The artist Mai Omar said earlier that she was subjected to a lot of criticism and accusations simply because she is the wife of director Mohamed Sami, even though she presented works that have nothing to do with him, stressing that she is trying to separate from him artistically as a form of change and difference.
This is what prompted her to reduce her appearance in artistic works, stressing that having a husband and wife working in the artistic community requires double efforts from them in order to achieve the difficult equation of caring for their children.
