Al Duhail of Qatar concluded its campaign in the group stage of the AFC Champions League with a big victory over Sepahan of Iran 5/2, today, Tuesday, in the sixth round of Group D in the competition.
Al-Duhail, who had qualified for the round of 16 in the previous round, raised his score to 15 points in the lead, while Saudi Al-Taawun occupies second place with seven points, and he will face Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor, bottom of the standings, with three points, later on Tuesday.
On the other hand, Sepahan’s balance stuck at seven points in third place.
Michael Olunga advanced to Al Duhail in the tenth minute, before Mohammad Nejad Mahdi equalized for Sepahan in the 20th minute.
In the 35th minute, Olunga scored the second goal for Al Duhail, while Edmilson Junior added the third goal in the 41st minute.
In the 50th minute, Ferjani Sassi scored the fourth goal for Al Duhail, while Sepahan returned to the match with a second goal scored by Soroush Rafii in the 82nd minute.
And in the last minute of the original time, Edmilson Junior finished the Al Duhail quintet.
