Al Hamriya Municipality announced the launch of the activities of the “My Family” Festival, in its 2024 edition, in the Eastern District Women’s Park in the region, within the framework of the integration of the municipality’s efforts and its keenness to strengthen institutional partnerships to receive visitors to the event, which aims to strengthen the bonds of interdependence between the people, and includes many activities. The efforts of Al Hamriyah Municipality continued, through various departments and divisions, in cooperation with departments and institutions, in organizing the activities of the family festival, to bring joy and joy to its patrons and audiences over the course of 3 days, starting from January 24 – 26 of this year, and launching a wide range of events and programs, shaping its essence. A social, entertaining and cultural event in which families and children come together in a number of activities that were chosen with great care, to enhance social cohesion and family cohesion among the people of the region.
Aisha Sultan Muhammad, Head of the City Facilities Management and External Advertising Department, explained that the “My Family” Festival in Al Hamriya, in its current edition, includes many entertainment and educational activities, cultural and motivational competitions, and artistic and entertainment workshops provided by government departments and institutions participating in the festival’s activities, most notably the Al Hamriya Club. The Sharjah Arts Foundation – Al Hamriyah Branch, the Department of Social Services – Al Hamriyah Branch, the Sharjah Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, and the Children of Sharjah.
Muhammad added that what distinguishes this edition of the “My Family” festival is allocating corners for women “mothers” such as the henna corner, providing a dedicated location for food trucks, and special sessions for families decorated with festive lighting to enjoy the winter and family atmosphere, in addition to providing an outdoor children’s cinema corner, and allocating Film material suitable for their age group, with the aim of creating passion and spending the most beautiful times and memories.
