Al Hilal coach: Al-Ahly’s seventh participation does not give him an advantage

The Portuguese Leonardo Jardim, the coach of the Saudi Hilal, confirmed that Al-Ahly’s seventh participation in the Club World Cup will not give the red team an advantage in the match that will be between them in the championship.

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Al-Hilal tomorrow, Saturday, in the match to determine the third place in the Club World Cup currently being held in the UAE, and the African champion is seeking to win the bronze medal.

Leonardo Jardim said, in statements to the match press conference: “After failing in our first goal, which is to reach the Club World Cup final, we will work to achieve our second goal, which is to achieve the best position.”

He added, “We are sure that Al-Ahly seeks to achieve the same goal, which is the third place.”

He continued: “Al-Ahly’s seventh participation in the World Cup does not give them the advantage. We have 23 players and I trust all of them, and they must be ready to play at any time.”

He stressed, “We will try to control Al-Ahly and take possession of the ball from the beginning.”

He continued, “Salman Al-Faraj is not ready to play since the beginning of the match and we do not want to lose him, and we have other players who have the same problem.”

Al Hilal coach concluded, “Muhammad Kanoo presented excellent levels and succeeded in pressing the opponent and scoring in previous matches, and Cuellar played excellently, especially against Chelsea.”

It is noteworthy that Al Hilal lost to Chelsea, the European champion, with a clean goal, while Al-Ahly lost to the Brazilian Palmeiras by a clean double, to compete for the Asian and African champions for the bronze medal tomorrow, Saturday.
