Reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio said that Al Hilal, the crown prince of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Football League and the current leader, came close to contracting Paraguayan Bruno Valdes from Mexican Club America.

And the journalist on the “Sky Sports” network added that Al Hilal is very close to Bruno Valdes, the Paraguayan defender, born in 1992, who spent the last 6 seasons at Club America.

He explained that negotiations are underway between the two parties, and a meeting is scheduled for Sunday between the player’s agents and the Saudi club’s envoys in Madrid to close the deal.

Valdes is an international defender with a lot of experience and is 30 years old. Before joining Club America, he played for Cerro Porteno in Paraguay.

Al Hilal offered the player a contract for a period of four to five years for about ten to 12 million dollars, and the deal is scheduled to be resolved soon.

Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo, Al Hilal striker, leads the league’s top scorer with 22 goals, two ahead of Brazilians Anderson Taliska, Al Nasr striker, and Romarinho, Al Ittihad striker.

And the Saudi Professional League will put two copies of the championship cup in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah at the same time, in anticipation of any scenario in the last round of the exciting season on Monday, with Al Hilal and Al Ittihad equal in points.

Al-Hilal is superior in direct confrontations with Al-Ittihad, which lost the lead in the last rounds after it was ahead by a large margin, as Al-Hilal needs to beat its guest Al-Faisaly in Riyadh to win the title for the third time in a row without looking at the result of Al-Ittihad with Al-Batin in Jeddah.

Al-Hilal’s task will not be easy in the absence of the two main defenders, Ali Al-Bulayhi and the South Korean Jang Hyun-soo, along with midfielder Gustavo Cuellar, who is suspended, and his rival Al-Faisaly is in danger of relegation and will need to win in order to survive.

Al-Hilal lost the title twice on the last day, the first in the 2008-2009 season, the first in the professional era, when Al-Ittihad achieved its last title in the competition, and in 2018-2019 in favor of Al-Nasr. While the “leader” won the title once in the last round of the 2017-2018 season, at the expense of Al-Ahly.
