The English newspaper “Telegraph” confirmed in a report on Monday that Cristiano Ronaldo may leave Manchester United in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag does not depend on Ronaldo mainly this season, and kept him as a substitute throughout the derby match against Manchester City, which United lost 3-6.
According to the newspaper, “The Telegraph”, Ten Hag wanted to keep Ronaldo, when he took over as United coach at the beginning of this season.
The newspaper confirmed that the Dutch coach and Manchester United will not stand now in front of the departure of the Portuguese player if he receives an appropriate offer when the winter transfer window opens in January.
Ronaldo tried to leave Manchester United in the last summer Mercato, due to the team’s failure to qualify for the European Champions League, but he did not receive an appropriate offer to be forced to continue his career at the “Theatre of Dreams”.
And the “Telegraph” noted that Ronaldo still hopes to leave Manchester United, but he wants to get a greater chance to play with United before his participation with his country in the World Cup finals in Qatar next month.
Ronaldo participated in only one full match this season in the English Premier League.
The 37-year-old returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2021 from Juventus and scored 24 goals in 39 games last season.
