Al-Manar Sports website » The Asian Cup .. Lebanon begins its matches against the Philippines

After successfully completing its first mission by topping the third Asian group for the Basketball World Cup qualifiers after the end of the “three windows” in the first round, the Lebanon men’s team will start its matches in the Asian Cup-2022, which will be hosted by Indonesia between 12 and 24 July, by playing its first match in Group D With his Philippine counterpart on Wednesday, July 13th, at four o’clock in the afternoon, Beirut time, and he will meet his New Zealand counterpart at four o’clock in the afternoon, Friday, the 15th of this month, Beirut time.

It is worth noting that there is a paradox that must be stopped at, which is that Lebanon will face in the first round of the Asian Cup the same teams, i.e. New Zealand, the Philippines and India, which it will face in the fourth, fifth and sixth window in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers, which is something that must be stopped.

In a reading of the continental championship program, the tournament starts on the 12th of this month and the first round ends on the 17th of July. The four teams that ranked first in the four groups will qualify directly to the quarter-finals. The teams that occupy the second and third places in each group will enter the second qualifying round to the quarter-finals. The final will be on the 18th and 19th of this month. The quarter-finals will be held on the 20th and 21st of this month, with a rest day on the 22nd of this month. The semi-final matches will be held on the 23rd of this month and the final match on the 24th of July.
