Al-Mishal is approaching the presidency of the Football Association, after the retreat of Hatem Khaimi

Yasser Al-Mishal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Association, is now facing a recommendation for a second term (2023-2027), despite the currently open elections.

The deadline for the submission of other candidates is scheduled to expire today (Saturday), following it lasted for regarding a week without anyone applying until yesterday evening.

According to the sources, Hatem Khaimi, the former president of Al-Wehda Club, retracted his candidacy at the last minute for the presidency of the Football Association Board of Directors, following emergency circumstances contributed to the decision to withdraw, despite preparing his list to present it to the Elections Committee, according to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.
