Madinah: The streams and valleys in the Madinah region have overflowed due to heavy rains in the past few days. There was a strong flow of water and water logging in the hill slopes and low lying areas. Wadi al-Mubarak, the most famous valley of Madinah, became a large lake stretching as far as Noketadura. ‘Wadi al-Mubarak’, known since ancient times as the blessed valley of Hijaz, has become like a lake in a radius of 100 km. Al-Naqee Valley in Madinah itself and its streams are now overflowing. The Civil Defense has issued a security warning to the residents of the area.

The valleys located on the southern side of Madinah turned into puddles due to the heavy rains that fell the previous day. There were patches of heavy rainfall in many parts. Residents of the area have been on extra alert as per the warning issued by the Meteorological Center and the Civil Defense Authority. The Civil Defense had rescued many people trapped in the Madinah watershed the other day.
