Al-Qaeda responds to Indian statements about the Prophet Muhammad

New York, USA (CNN)–Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent has responded by expressing its condemnation of comments made by officials from India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party regarding the Prophet Muhammad.

Al-Qaeda said in a statement posted on its website that “the aggressors once morest the Prophet Muhammad, the pride of humanity, will find neither amnesty nor mercy, nor will peace and security save them, and the matter will not end with any words of condemnation or sad words.”

The organization did not directly name the officials, but warned that they “will not find refuge in their homes or in fortified army camps,” according to the statement.

In a statement condemning the statements, al-Qaeda called for revenge, saying: “We warn every brave and insolent person in the world, especially the Hindutva terrorists occupying India, that we will fight for the dignity of our Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace)… and we urge others to fight and die for the honor of our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.” May God’s peace and blessings be upon him, and we will kill those who offend our Prophet.”

It is reported that regarding 10 days ago, BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma made “offensive” remarks to the Prophet Muhammad and his wife Aisha, which caused condemnation from a growing number of Muslim-majority countries, and Sharma has since been suspended.

Another BJP leader allegedly made anti-Muslim comments on Twitter, has since been removed and dismissed from his post.
