Throughout a life spent playing basketball and coaching at the highest level, Alain Weisz notably launched the human and sporting adventure of Moustapha Sonko. Then lived with the French team the epic Sydney Olympics and winning the silver medal, before placing his trust in a young diamond still in the rough, 19 years old, Tony Parker. In 2023, as director of sports operations at Boulogne-Levallois, he followed from the front row the last season of Victor Wembanyama and Bilal Coulibaly in France.
In this work, Alain Weisz wishes to convey his basketball adventure, but also his vision and his thoughts around this sport. Without concession, he lifts the veil on this life of passion and sacrifices made. It offers avenues for tomorrow’s coaches as a legacy and will perhaps inspire vocations.
