-The American airline Alaska Airlines announced that it will operate a temporary direct flight between Puerto Vallarta and Las Vegas starting next December 14.
It is a flight that will have four weekly frequencies and a promotional price of $139 dollars -about 2,299 pesos- per single pass.
The flight will operate from December 14 to April 10, 2024.
It also announced that in that same season it will operate the direct route between Cabo San Lucas and Las Vegas, also with four frequencies a week.
To and from Puerto Vallarta, Alaska Airlines currently operates flights to San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose and San Francisco, California, and Portland, Oregon.
To and from Guadalajara it flies to San José and Los Angeles, California.
Between December and April, international tourism grows in Puerto Vallarta mainly due to the arrival of the so-called “snowbirds”, retirees from the United States or Canada who travel to warmer places during the winter.
From last December to April, the Puerto Vallarta International Airport served 3,330,600 passengers, of which 2,179,900 were travelers on international flights, according to data from Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), its concessionaire. .
