Fernández is accompanied by the economy ministers; of Foreign Affairs and Social Development, Sergio Massa, Santiago Cafiero and Victoria Tolosa Paz, respectively; the Chief of Staff, Agustín Rossi; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello, and the Ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli, as well as the spokesperson Gabriela Cerruti.
The Brazilian president shared on Twitter: “A joy to receive my friend Alberto Fernández today at the Palacio de la Alvorada. Brazil and Argentina are brothers and we will have increasingly prosperous relations with one of the largest trading partners of our country and our industry. Together we are stronger.”
Focus on the Argentine economy
“President Fernández comes to Brazil to talk about the economic situation in Argentinawe must receive it and talk about it,” the Brazilian president said in statements to journalists at the Itamaraty Palace, the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry in Brasilia, and when asked if he could anticipate something about the meeting, he replied that this “would be gossipy.”
