Another vote, another candidate or new elections

The PP achieved the general elections of last July 23 137 deputies, which are not enough to form a Government and Núñez Feijóo, in more than a month since receiving the order from King Felipe VI, has not obtained sufficient support.

This Friday, September 29, there will be a new vote and if the candidate again does not obtain the necessary support, this time more yeses than noes, his investiture will decline.

Then, a two-month countdown will be activated for another candidate to try, before new legislative elections are called.

That will be the moment for the outgoing president of the Government, the socialist Pedro Sánchez, to try to gain the confidence of Parliament to be reinstated as head of the Executive.
