NICE, France (AP) — Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz continues to be in great form on grass, beating Borna Coric (15) of Croatia 6-3, 6-7 (6), 10-5 on Saturday in the Hopman Cup.

The Spaniard, who is world number one and defeated 23-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic in a spectacular final at Wimbledon on Sunday, had three aces to Coric’s six but saved both break points he faced. Alcaraz got his second victory in a row following beating Belgian David Goffin on Friday.

Since winning the Queen’s Club Championships for his first grass-court title last month, Alcaraz has faced no problems on what he called his least favorite surface.

The exhibition tournament is held at the Nice Lawn Club in the south of France and pits mixed teams representing their nations in singles and doubles.

Alcaraz will play once more on Saturday in doubles with Rebeka Masarova once morest Coric and Donna Vekic.

The final takes place on Sunday.
