Alejandra Mustakis opened Entrepreneurship Week – La Discusión 2024-05-07 14:45:48

The inauguration of Entrepreneurship Week, carried out by Inacap Chillán, took place at the Municipal Theater of Chillán. This event brought together everyone from entrepreneurs to students, in order to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen ties between the productive sector and the educational community of Ñuble. The inauguration was marked by the inspiring talk “Believe and Create in Chile” offered by Alejandra Mustakis, a prominent national businesswoman, who shared her experiences and vision about entrepreneurship opportunities in the country.

Entrepreneurship Week considers a series of activities that will last until Friday, such as talks, workshops and fairs, aimed at all audiences and free of charge.

The opening included the words of Christian Landerretche, vice-rector of Inacap, who highlighted the importance of initiatives for development and collaboration between the educational field and the productive sector, indicating that “at Inacap we propose to transform ourselves into a solid pillar to build in Ñuble the necessary ecosystem that leads us to provide more and better opportunities to current and future entrepreneurs who want to make their dreams come true by making available both the educational model and the entrepreneurial environment that Inacap provides through its CoWork Network, FabLab, Factory 4.0, its students and teachers.”

Next, Lucas Palacios, rector of Inacap, expressed his gratitude to the speakers and more than 1,300 attendees, highlighting how this type of event contributes to the preparation of students for their future professional challenges in the world of entrepreneurship and reaffirming the entrepreneurial feeling among the locals. The importance of training in areas of entrepreneurship was clearly demonstrated in his speech, broadcast live through Inacap’s YouTube channel.

Entrepreneurship opportunities

Next, it was the turn of the presentation by Alejandra Mustakis, who not only motivated those present, but also outlined the current panorama of entrepreneurship in Chile, addressing the challenges and opportunities that new entrepreneurs face.

“Countries grow because there are more and more companies, because every time more companies are developed, the opportunities in the place where those companies grow increase. The large company is not going to tend to hire many more thousands of people, but rather it is going to put technology in place and in the world to come they will be companies that tend to shrink and, therefore, the generation of employment and the generation of opportunities It will depend on whether we are able to create more and better entrepreneurs, and that those who are already starting out can grow,” said Mustakis.

Along these lines, he added that, “all education has to be focused on people being super proactive, being available to reinvent themselves, to learn how to learn, to learn over time and therefore, perhaps have more than one career.” in their life and perhaps they work for someone and at the same time undertake or work with an entrepreneur, and for this reason, education has to be rethought for this new world and rethought to be a much better society for everyone, a society with more talent, more inclusive, where we all participate and where most importantly, the more entrepreneurs and innovation we have, we will move forward as a country, much stronger.”

The event continued with an emotional recognition of “Inacap Spirit” entrepreneurs from the Sercotec business centers operated by Inacap, in this case the recognitions went to the centers in Antofagasta, Punta Arenas and Curicó. In addition, a distinction was awarded to the regional entrepreneur María Loreto Alarcón, from Viña Mujeres Itata, in Ránquil, who stands out for her contribution to the local business world, innovation and female leadership in the economic and social development of Ñuble.

The closing of the ceremony was led by Camilo Benavente, mayor of Chillán, who highlighted the importance of supporting local entrepreneurs as engines for development and social mobility. The mayor’s words not only recognized the achievements of those who were awarded on this occasion, but also invited the community to continue working together to foster an inclusive, resilient and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
