Alex Rins (Honda): “I want to be world champion” / MotoGP

At the LCR Honda Team Presentation, Alex Rins unveiled his this year’s RC213V and spoke about the evolution he has undergone over the last seven years of his MotoGP career.

In an excitingly staged short film, Alex Rins made his first appearance in the official colors of the LCR Honda Castrol team on Tuesday and presented the design of his RC213V this year.

After six years with the Suzuki factory team, the 27-year-old Spaniard will make his debut for another MotoGP manufacturer in 2023 and is ready for this new task. “It will be my seventh season in MotoGP. I think my strength will be consistency. I’ll be working hard from Friday, studying my notes and trying to understand the bike with my technicians and engineers.”

Since joining Moto3 in 2012, Rins has gone through a long development journey that has had a lasting impact on him. “I learn something new every year,” confirmed the five-time MotoGP winner. “During that time, I learned to stay calm despite the pressure. Especially in the last few years I have improved my mentality a lot to master the difficult situations.»

Alongside Takaaki Nakagami, the Honda rider is striving for greatness: “My goal is to become world champion. That’s what I train and work hard for. Both on the track and at home you need to be in control and surround yourself with competent people to get the best possible results.”
