Alexander Isak’s Newcastle won on penalties against Blacburn in the FA Cup

Newcastle are further in the FA Cup following penalty drama.
Even though Arnor Sigurdsson and Yasin Ayari scored their penalties, it was not enough.

On Tuesday evening, the fifth round of the long-standing FA Cup was played. Among other things, Alexander Isak’s Newcastle were pitted once morest Yasin Ayari’s and Arnor Sigurdsson’s Blackburn Rovers.

Isak started from the start, but was replaced at 0-0 in the 62nd minute. A minute later, Yasin Ayari entered the game. Sigurdsson was previously substituted in the 46th minute.
After full time it was 1-1 and it all went to a penalty shootout.

Both Ayari and Sigurdsson scored there. Unfortunately, it was not enough – as it ended with a 3-4 win for the away team Newcastle following five penalty rounds.

For Newcastle, the quarter-finals of the FA Cup await in the future.
