Alexander Mai has been appointed as the new Cluster Manager for the European Two Wheel Tire (TWT) division at Apollo Tyers. He succeeds Thomas Mittendorff, who is leaving the company after 16 years to pursue new professional challenges.
Alexander Mai has over 17 years of experience in the bicycle industry and started his career as an apprentice at ZEG before moving to sales at Pinarello and Wittich in Germany. Beginning in 2012, he spent nearly eight years with Lezyne and Reynolds Cycling in the US, where he held various sales and marketing management roles in the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions. In 2018, Mai joined Apollo Tires and the Vredestein brand as Sales Manager, where he was responsible for the DACH region.
Mai reports directly to Yves Pouliquen, Group Head Sales and Marketing Europe. (aum/av)
