The news that the Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO) was to be canceled by the ORF “got to my bones”. Alexander Pereira, opera director in Florence, made this known and took this as an opportunity to write an open letter to ORF general director Roland Weißmann. As general secretary of the Vienna Konzerthaus and as artistic director of the Salzburg Festival, he has realized “the most exciting projects in contemporary music” with the RSO.
