Wednesday evening, the great and prestigious visit landed on the film sets of Tower as Mrs. Soeur Angèle shone with her presence, making everyone smile on her way thanks to her more than endearing personality.

From the first minutes of the show, Alexandre Barrette had the pleasure of cooking with this inspiring woman who is now 84 years old, and it would be fair to say that their bond was on display.

However, following the broadcast of the episode of TowerAlexandre Barrette has drawn the wrath of Internet users on social networks.
By the way, what people blame him for is the fact that he didn’t address Sister Angèle as you when he spoke to her. As of this writing, hundreds of comments are scrolling through the Facebook page of the talk-show and some of them are unflattering:
“I think the familiarity with Sister Angèle was out of place.”
“To use familiarity with Sister Angèle, lack of respect!”
“To be familiar with this great lady who shared this enormous passion with us and who has done so much for our culinary identity… She is extremely sociable and full of love. She totally deserves that respect! Bravo, all the same, she greatly deserves this brief tribute. Thank you for bringing it back to us!”
“The familiarity is not in order, Mr. Barrette. Respect please.”
“I really like Alexandre, but I didn’t like that he was familiar with Sister Angèle, a matter of respect.”
“I like La Tour, but today my ears are creaking. Alex, who is familiar with Sister Angèle… I’m from the old school, so I’m a bit confused. ???? Is that getting old?»

“Confused” by such a reaction, the host and humorist had to set the record straight by stating that he took the trouble to ask Sister Angèle if she preferred to be tu or tu, and the latter had kindly asked it’s up to Alexandre to call it familiar. Something that would have been cut during the editing and which triggered a real commotion among some viewers. Here’s what he had to say:
“I’m a bit confused by your comments. Right from the start, the first thing I discussed with Sister Angèle was formalities. Our age difference, the great respect I have for her encourages me to address her as you say, but she gave me her “blessing” to address her as familiar. I imagine it was cut from the edit. And I am very saddened by it!”
However, if some Internet users were put off by the way he addressed this great lady, others were able to appreciate the interview and therefore came to his defense by insisting on the fact that he had done this maintenance with the greatest respect.
