Geneva director Alexandre Schild, born in 1999, is starting to become a regular at festivals. His first two short films, “Lettres en ton nom” and “Cyril & Louise”, were selected in several Swiss and international events. His third film, “The Salt Hills,” follows the same path, since it will be in competition and presented as a world premiere on December 20 at the IndiCork festival in Ireland.

Filmed in the Camargue, “The Salt Hills” features a young woman (played by Isaline Prévost Radeff) who, “on the lands of her adolescence, summons the abandoned salt of her past”. A synopsis which may seem mysterious, but which takes on its full meaning when watching the film. Of singular beauty, “The Hills of Salt” is a success and touches the viewer’s heart in less than seven minutes.

Please note that the short film will be presented during the Solothurn Film Festival, January 18 and 22, 2024.
