A little over eight years ago, in February 2015, the singer Alfredo Olivas was attacked with bullets on stage while he was offering a concert in Parral and, since then, he has not returned to the state of Chihuahua.
Until this weekend, when he offered two concerts at the Almanza stadium in the city of Chihuahua, where he was excited to return to the big state.
“Eight years I have waited to sing this song here, not because of what has happened or what has not happened,” he began by recounting before performing El Paciente, a song about a person who is on the brink of death from an assault.
He recalled that “Chihuahua was always our number one place of work, from Parral, Jiménez, Delicias, Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua capital, and for reasons that I omit today, eight years had to pass.”

“I think you support me to say that another eight and another eight can pass and the love we have for each other, as Grupo Frontera says, does not go away,” he continued.
Then he asked the public for permission to “have a drink” and let him be happy for the moment, because he had “a lump in his throat.” Later he invited the public to toast with him for the pleasure of returning and finally gave way to the long-awaited song.
