Algeria drops gas prices with its customers

Taoufik Hakkar, CEO of the Algerian state oil and gas company Sonatrach, told reporters today that his country will negotiate with all its customers to review gas prices. Hakkar added that the price review does not target a specific company or country.

On the other hand, an official with the state oil and gas company Sonatrach in Algeria said that the country’s revenues from these two energy sources increased by 70 percent during the first five months of 2022. He added that revenues amounted to 21.5 billion dollars, compared to 12.6 billion dollars in the same period last year.
