Alias ’Martín Sombra’ spoke at the give about the way in which the extinct FARC guerrilla operated and how the forced recruitment of minors worked in it.
He gave a stark testimony on how he was in charge of teaching all kinds of violent actions to children ranging from 10 to 15 years.
“I taught them military engineering, explosives, communications, nursing, trenches, vulnerable parts, how to hang another,” he confessed before the give.
He added that 10-year-old children were recruited and trained to commit all kinds of violent acts.

He also indicated that he recruited a troop of indigenous people to whom he instructed to eat the guerrillas who demobilized from the Farc.
“I trained troops that ate people. That was secret. I was going to train cannibals for the day the others would go wrong”, said ‘Martín Sombra’ in the give.
He added that alias ‘Timochenko’ gave instructions to “shoot” minors that they regret joining the Farc.

One of the darkest pages of the war in Urabá Antioquia was experienced in Tulapas, in the north of that sub-region. This area, made up of 58 villages distributed among the municipalities of TurboNecoclí and San Pedro de Urabá, was a paramilitary stronghold in the late 1990s.
