HP Lovecraft’s short stories, which generally favored short formats, have gained readers over the years: a fragile child, very close to his mother, the writer will never really be able to live from his writings, which he publishes in various magazines . His best-known stories are thus reproduced in the pages of Weird Tales, as The Mountains of Madness et Call of Cthulhu.
Dead at 46, Lovecraft will have an influence, a posteriori, on horror writings and pop culture in general, which has largely adopted Cthulhu. Some controversies will also arise over the years, relating to the assumed racism of the writer.
