Allam: Arbitration problems do not end… and the dominance of Al-Ahly and Zamalek

Gamal Allam, President of the Football Association, confirmed that he hopes to continue cooperation with the UAE in sports affairs, noting that arbitration problems are still continuing in Egyptian football.

The UAE will host the Egyptian Super Cup between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which is scheduled to be held next Friday at seven in the evening.

Allam said in statements on the Abu Dhabi Sports Channel: “The first Egyptian Super hosted by the Emirates was during my first term as president of the Football Association, and it was a wonderful, very good and useful experience as well.”

He continued, “We are proud of our relationship with the UAE, and we hope for the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the sports field.”

He continued, “We hope to sign a partnership protocol with Emirati football to include all aspects of football cooperation, and Egyptian football is not far from the Arab countries, and God willing, cooperation between us will continue.”

In response to Will the Emirati Super return to Egypt?, the President of the Football Association said: “We will have a conversation with the UAE Federation, and God willing, we will work on his presence in Egypt again, and we also hope that Egypt will embrace the Saudi Super, as well as the Kuwaiti.”

Gamal Allam spoke about the last season and its consequences in terms of tournaments, saying: “The last season was very difficult and exceptional, and there are unfinished consequences such as the Egypt Cup and the Super for the same season.”

He continued: “There is an understanding between us and the Club Association, and I pity them because the league championship is long and its troubles are too many, but the biggest burden is on arbitration and it is affiliated with the Football Association.”

The president of Jabalia stressed: “I hope that arbitration problems will be few this season, but arbitration is still a big problem in the Football Association, and God willing, any problem will be solved because we want the league championship to end well (and may God pass the season well).”

He explained, “The association requested an appropriate number of fans to attend the matches at the beginning of the season, and we are working to increase the number, but the fans have a big role, and the media has a great responsibility in delivering the correct information.”

Allam talked about the dominance of Al-Ahly and Zamalek and the influence of corporate clubs, saying: “The dominance of Al-Ahly and Zamalek at the top will remain even with the presence of corporate clubs, and the evidence is that the majority of players prefer to move to the poles, as they have great financial capabilities.”

He pointed out: “If other clubs seek to access great sponsorship rights and sign players at the highest level, we will find great competition between all teams.”

In another context, Jamal Allam called on the fans to be patient with the experience of Roy Vitoria, the national team coach, and said: “Vittoria has asked, since his arrival, to play two friendly matches as a start to see the players and determine their level, provided that he begins facing stronger teams at the technical level.”

He added: “Vitoria stood on the team’s basic strength in the last camp, and there will be two matches in November with an Arab team and another meeting with Belgium.”

He concluded: “We hope that the public will be patient with the experience of Roy Vitoria, because we are preparing the team to win the African Nations, reach the World Cup and be present continuously.”
