New allegations against a Salzburg primary school teacher: He is said to have abandoned a patient during an operation with his back open and intimidated colleagues. The management of the UKH and the AUVA remained inactive. Why?

On October 14, 2022, the patient Max Meier (name changed, note) lies naked and intubated on his stomach in the Salzburg accident hospital. Meier is seriously injured in his spine, now surgeons are supposed to save what can still be saved. Standing around the operating table are surgical assistants, anesthesiologists, the young senior physician B. and the head trauma surgeon at the General Accident Hospital in Salzburg, Primarius Arnold Suda himself. He operated on the open back. Then there is a scandal. Suda simply leaves the operating room.
Suda is considered a leader in his field. The walls of his office were practically wallpapered with certificates and medals. Before he was appointed head of the department for orthopedics and traumatology by AUVA, the general accident insurance institution, he was a professor at the Mannheim University Hospital. Suda is also a major physician at the “West” medical center in Innsbruck, where he is commander of surgery in the field ambulance.
