Two men, aged 21 and 29, were injured by gunshots after getting into a fight between 4th and 2nd avenues and 14th streets in zone 10, with other subjects who have not been identified so far, but who the authorities are looking for through images circulating on social networks.
The incident that left the two people injured occurred on 4th Avenue and 14th Street in Zone 10, in the early morning of March 24.
The subjects injured by gunshot were identified as brothers Gabriel Omar and Byron Aarón, surnames Perdomo Gómez, 29 and 21 years old, respectively, originally from San Juan Sacatepéquez, Guatemala.
According to the version they gave to the rescuers, when they were leaving a nightclub there, unknown people attacked them with a firearm. The preliminary investigation is that they were charged for some consumption at the nightclub, but so far no further details have been provided on this matter.
According to a social communication report from the Ministry of the Interior (Mingob), both brothers were taken by Municipal Firefighters to the emergency room at the Roosevelt hospital.
At the time of admission, Gabriel Omar had an intra-abdominal wound and Byron Aarón had a gunshot wound to the left leg. Both are reported to be stable upon admission to the care center.
The preliminary investigation, according to Mingob, reveals that the event originated from an argument over consumption in a commercial premises (a nightclub).
The National Civil Police (PNC) participated in support of the injured, while fire units arrived. The Specialized Criminal Investigation Division (Deic) of the PNC began investigations into the case and the case has been left to the Public Ministry (MP) to establish what happened and find those responsible for the armed attack.
In accordance with the official information, the PNC “reacted immediately and went to the scene of the events with motorized units that made their citizen security tour in the vicinity.” This, according to official information, made it possible to control the situation, dissipate the risk and support the injured.
The Mingob explains that although there is more police presence on these dates, “they call on the population to avoid excesses since these are usually the triggers for unfortunate events like these.”
“This and other points in the same area will be visited more frequently so that citizens can enjoy themselves without violating the rules of coexistence or committing crimes,” they commented in a statement to Free Press.

Videos show lawsuit
The incident, according to videos circulating on social networks, occurred due to non-payment for some consumption in a nightclub, or business in the area, which the people who were shot had to do.
Although it is unknown what the charge referred to by a woman accompanying the men was, and which was documented in a video that has gone viral, other subjects attacked them and then they are heard firing firearms.
After fighting, arguing, and arguing in the public street of that avenue, a subject dressed in black is seen running in the direction of the people who are apparently being attacked.

The armed incident was reported to the Municipal Firefighters, who were present and verified that on 4th Avenue and 14th Street, Zone 10, a man was lying with several gunshot wounds.
The testimony of the people who witnessed the event told the rescuers that there was another injured person, and they located him on 2nd Avenue and 14th Street, zone 10. He was also shot.
The two were stabilized at the scene and then taken to the Roosevelt Hospital emergency room, where they were admitted.
The MP investigates
According to Moisés Ortiz from the information and press department of the MP, the prosecutor’s office for crimes against the life and integrity of people is investigating the armed incident that occurred in zone 10, “as a result of which two people suffered injuries caused by firearm projectile.”
“Prosecution personnel and criminal investigation technicians processed the scene, locating five ballistic evidence consisting of shell casings, among other types, that will contribute to the development of the investigation,” Ortiz explained.
He added that in accordance with “the interviews carried out with witnesses and the testimonial statements collected, the victims, along with other people, were in a nightclub near the scene of the events, where a fight began, at which time unknown persons “They shoot, wounding the victims who are in a care center.”
The prosecutor’s office continues to carry out the relevant investigative procedures to find those responsible and clarify the incident, the communicator concluded.
