Asunción, IP Agency.- The Minister of Justice, Rodrigo Nicora, received members from the National University of Caaguazú (UNCA) and the Institute of Comparative Studies in Criminal Sciences (Inecip), to talk about research and intervention projects that benefit the penitentiary system.

Those present reported that Inecip and the National University of Caaguazú are working on intervention projects that address dimensions of the serious problem of tuberculosis in prisons, the physical and mental health of those deprived of liberty, as well as that of the agents. and prison officials.

The other important component of the project is the criminological approach and social reintegration, reported the Ministry of Justice.

In this context, Minister Nicora showed interest in the project and pledged the support of the Ministry of Justice to make the initiative viable.

Present were Dr. Pablo Martínez, dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNCA; Dr. Gladys Estigarribia, director of IRIS-UNCA; Juan Martens, Rubén Maciel Guerreño and Diego Molinas, from Inecip.
