A matinee with the Alma Mahler Philharmonic and the Chorus Alea took place in the Kremser Und-Kloster.
Musical arc was extremely exciting
Under the great direction of the young conductor Clara Bauer Wagsteiner, the audience was treated to something special. According to the title “Out of the world”, the listeners were taken into different spherical musical worlds. The exciting musical range ranged from Johann Sebastian Bach to Arnold Schönberg, Edward Elgar and Mieczyslaw Weinberg to Wolfram Wagner and the composer Philipp Manuel Gutmann, who was also present, and the composers Sophie Hutchings, Imogen Holst and Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn.
Chorus Alea was also excellently organized
The interpretation of the works presented was impressive. The chorus Alea – rehearsed by Matthias Schoberwalter, from which the soloists also emerged, was also convincing with its beauty of sound. In the end, many visitors remained hopeful that they would soon be able to hear these two great ensembles in Krems again.
