We have the contract of Amankwah Forson early until 30. June 2027 extended.
The 20 year old Ghanaian came to us in Salzburg from his hometown in the winter transfer period of 2021 and initially played for the U18s of the Red Bull Academy (5 games, 3 goals) and for the cooperation club FC Liefering (29 matches, 6 goals, 8 assists).
At the start of the 2021/22 season, Forson went on loan to SCR Altach (18 games, 2 goals, 5 assists) before returning to our Red Bulls six months later. Overall, the offensive player is with the series champions 25 games with four goals and three assists to book.
The collaboration with Amankwah Forson is very positive, which can also be seen in his development curve, which is pointing strongly upwards! He is a very talented footballer. And because we are convinced that he still has a lot of potential, we have already extended his contract and are looking forward to the further time with him.
