amazon Bedrock Data Automation Enhances File Support for Streamlined Workflows

October 27, 2023 – Amazon Bedrock data Automation (BDA) has announced important updates, now supporting DOC/DOCX files for document processing and H.2.65 encoded video files for video processing. These additions are poised to revolutionize data analysis pipelines by allowing users to work directly with popular file formats.

This enhancement means that Word documents, reports, and other text-based content can now be processed without the prior necessity of conversion to PDF. This directly streamlines user workflows, accelerating text extraction and subsequent analysis.

Furthermore, the integration of H.265 support allows for the more efficient processing of high-quality video files. The H.2.65 codec is known for delivering superior video quality at notably smaller file sizes compared to older codecs. This translates to quicker processing times for video analysis tasks.

Amazon Bedrock Data automation is currently available across seven AWS regions. These include Europe (Frankfurt), europe (London), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Sydney), US West (Oregon), and US East (N. Virginia).

For those eager to delve deeper, additional details can be found on the Bedrock Data Automation page. Complete technical details are also available in the official documentation.
