Amazon Web Services suffered a widespread outage on Tuesday followingnoon that affected many major websites, such as the Boston Globe and MTA.

The followingnoon outage affected the ability of some news organizations to publish coverage of former President Donald Trump’s court appearance in Miami, and the Boston Globe said in a tweet that the outage affected its digital publishing operations.

The New York Transit Authority (MTA) also said in another tweet that its website and app were “temporarily unavailable due to Amazon Web Services outage.”

Amazon Web Services referred CNN’s request for comment to the Amazon Services Panel, which said there was an “increase in error rates and latency times” affecting regional servers at its Northern Virginia hub.

By Tuesday evening, it announced that the problem had been fixed and all services were back to working normally.
