After skipping the Classic model last year, Samsung is making its return with the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which comes with the iconic rotating bezel that is very practical to use. It even offers thin borders around the screen, and boasts of having a screen 20% (for the small model, 43 mm here) larger than on the Galaxy Watch 5, all without sacrificing the size of the case.
It is particularly elegant and has little to envy of a classic watch. What we especially appreciate is its 1.31-inch Amoled screen. The chosen technology allows the display of vivid colors and excellent contrast. Better yet, the brightness of the screen is capable of going up to 2000 cd/m² and you can use it in broad daylight without worry. And with WearOS 4 at the helm, you have an easy-to-use interface, with the ability to install a number of third-party apps. For iPhone owners, go your way.
Many health and sports features
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic integrates numerous sensors. It includes a heart rate monitor, an oximeter for SpO2, measurement of stress level, examination of different sleep phases and even measurement of the user’s temperature during the night. It is also capable of analyzing up to 90 different sports activities, with automatic detection of walking, running or cycling. GPS tracking is rather effective, but sometimes lacks precision, just like cardio monitoring.
For autonomy, the brand promises that its watch can last for 40 consecutive hours, regardless of the format of the watch. We were able to use the 47 mm model, and with intensive use (GPS, SpO2 measurement, Always-On, etc.), the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic was able to last for 30 hours and 20 minutes, or a day and a half. Which is quite a shame, when we know that the Watch 5 Pro could last up to 52 hours of battery life. The 43 mm model concerned here should therefore last less time.
