Amazone has just unveiled a trailed version with a central hopper of its Precea precision seed drill.
The new Precea 9000-TCC and 12000-TCC have working widths of 9 and 12 meters respectively. They are available in 12 or 16 row versions with spacings of 70, 75 and 80 cm.
The seeder is equipped with a 2,000 liter central hopper which can thus accommodate the contents of two big bags. The seed is then transported pneumatically to the small hoppers located on each element. The seed transport is automatically cut off as soon as the individual hoppers are full and resumes when the level drops.
The selection of the seed is carried out by the PreTeC device with overpressure. The selector tab is coupled with optical sensors that detect doubles and misses. The drive is electric, which allows modulation by GPS. The trailed Preceas also benefit from the Curve COntrol system which adapts the density in the curves in order to avoid over and under-dosing.
For the simultaneous application of fertilizers, it is possible to opt for a double hopper of 6,000 liters. Each compartment has its own dispenser.
