Amazon’s Alexa boss: “In 10 years there will be a robot in almost every home” | life & knowledge

Even virtual voice assistants have a boss, and in the case of Amazon’s Alexa, it’s David Limp, Amazon’s senior vice president of devices and services.

For more than twelve years he has been responsible for the hardware department at Amazon: Kindles, Echos, the household robot Astro or Project Kuiper, Amazon’s planned satellite network in space – everything moves across his desk.

BILDplus met the Alexa boss for an interview and spoke to him about how Amazon develops new products, how many Echos he has at home, what Alexa will look like in five years and what happens if you ask Alexa a question in Russia.
