Earlier, a spokesman for the Indian Embassy in Kuwait had clarified the matter in response to a query issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Hon. The ambassador held a meeting at the Foreign Office in the wake of high concerns over the offensive tweets of some individuals in India. The ambassador said such tweets did not reflect the views of the Indian government in any way. These are only the views of isolated individuals. Strong action has been taken against those who make defamatory remarks. The Indian position is to emphasize and show respect for all religions. It does not allow any religion, personality or sect to be insulted or insulted. Those responsible have also issued a statement clarifying these facts. We must work together against such acts that seek to weaken the strength of our bilateral relationship. The Government of India has the highest regard for the concept of unity in diversity in line with our civilized and strong cultural heritage. There are vested interests against India-Kuwait relations. Such forces need to be guarded against. A spokesman for the Indian Embassy said.
