Amber Heard known to have called for attention Johnny Depp after the actress accused the man of domestic violence in 2016.
This fact was revealed in the trial of Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against Amber Heard on suspicion of defamation, which was held again on Monday (16/5) United States time.
In a snippet of the trial broadcast released by Law & Crime Network on Tuesday (17/5) Indonesian time, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, asked Amber Heard why Depp had not seen the actress.
“You know exactly why Mr. Depp won’t look back at you, don’t you?” said Vasquez.
“Yes,” replied Heard.
“He promised you, you’ll never see his eyes again. Is that true?” said Vasquez.
“I don’t remember him saying that,” Heard replied.
During the trial, which began on April 11, 2022, Johnny Depp was never seen glancing or making eye contact with Amber Heard, at least while in the courtroom.
Even when Amber Heard sat across from him, Johnny Depp looked down at the table most of the time. He sometimes seems to be busy by himself, whether it’s drawing, checking documents, or having a short chat with his lawyer while Amber Heard testifies.
Vasquez later said that Heard last met Depp in person was in San Francisco in July 2016. Amber Heard replied to the statement that it was the second time this had happened.
“And that’s after you publicly accused him of domestic violence,” Vasquez said.
“I got a detention order before that, that’s right,” Heard replied.
In May 2016, Amber Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp citing irreconcilable differences. That same month, a judge issued a restraining order against Depp on domestic violence charges against Heard.
In his oath, Heard accused Johnny Depp of throwing a cell phone at him during a fight. The phone hit the eye and cheek. Depp is also said to have shouted at him, hit him, grabbed his face roughly, and grabbed him.
As reported by The Associated Press, which was reported by The Independent, Amber Heard submitted a photo as evidence of Johnny Depp’s violence. The photo shows Amber Heard’s bruised face.
Now, Vasquez seems to deny Heard’s oath.
