AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Desktop PCs That Will Save Over 15% Single Wire Loading Launched This Fall

AMD Presents the Ryzen 7000 Series at Computex 2022

AMD confirms that the Ryzen 7000 series will be launched this fall.

Unfortunately, there are no SKUs or release dates for the Ryzen 7000 series, but tomorrow AMD will introduce its next generation desktop PC series along with its X670E, X670, and B650 motherboards at Computex.

AMD confirms that the Ryzen 7000 series will support the PCIe Gen5 standard in addition to DDR5 memory technology. The LGA1718 socket will maintain compatibility with AM4 refrigerators. Furthermore, rumors about high-powered TDP SKUs have been confirmed. The next generation AM5 socket will support up to 170W, however, this is not mentioned in a specific Ryzen 7000 processor.

In terms of performance, AMD claims that its Zen4 core architecture will provide 15% more single wire loading (unfortunately we don’t have footnotes explaining what they’re being compared to here), twice as much L2 cache (1MB) per core and Max Boost at 5GHz.

Moreover, AMD has finally revealed what lies beneath the new heat spreader. There are two core chips of 5 nm Zen4 and one I / O of 6 nm. There is clearly no place for a third CCD, but there is no way of knowing how this design will evolve in future generations.

AMD also confirms that its Zen4 desktop processor will have integrated RDNA2 graphics. The new Ryzen 7000 series of desktops is set to officially launch “this fall,” but that’s the exact date.
