Amendment to the Monument Protection Act sent for assessment – cultural policy

Vienna – Just in time for this year’s 100th anniversary of the Monument Protection Act, the Ministry of Culture has now sent an amendment to it for review. The innovations include, among other things, the consideration of greening measures when making changes to listed buildings, the anchoring of the UNESCO world heritage and a stronger preservation obligation for owners of monuments, said Art and Culture State Secretary Andrea Mayer (Greens) in a broadcast.
