American composer Burt Bacarac dies

The death of 94-year-old American composer Burt Bacarac, who was famous for several songs, including “I Say A Little Prayer for You” and “Raindrops Cape Fallen on My Head,” passed away, US media reported Thursday.

Diane Warwick’s favorite composer has worked with many artists, most notably Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin and The Beatles’ Elvis Costello.

Bacarac had composed dozens of works that became classics, specifically songs for the famous singer Diane Warwick.

Bacarac, a passionate jazz pianist, was born on May 12, 1928 in Kansas City, and studied composition at a number of American universities.
