American police deal with a gunman who opened fire with a machine gun in California

American media reported that the police were dealing with an “armed threat” on a street in Sissy, California, and a photo circulating on the social media showed a man carrying a machine gun and shooting at police in a city in California.

Local media quoted police as saying that residents and employees of businesses in the Seaside area, California, were ordered to take cover Thursday due to a confrontation with a man armed with a pistol.

The KSBW Action news website said the suspect had barricaded himself in a balcony, and police officers were trying to contact him to persuade him to come down.
