Two American ro-ro ships carrying military equipment have arrived in the port of Zeebrugge, the port magazine Flows said on Thursday, confirming information from the Vesselfinder website.
The “MV Cape Wrath”, carrying a civilian crew, has returned after a military operation in Italy. The ship would also have more than 450 military vehicles on board. These were put on trains to Eastern and Northern Europe, in support of American troops present in these regions, according to Flows.
However, Defense did not provide further information regarding the operations carried out by the ro-ro in Zeebrugge. A second American ship, the “Arc Indepence”, is also in port at present. The nature of its cargo is unknown.
Last October, two American ships carrying military equipment had already docked in Zeebrugge.
