American wrestler died at the age of 38z

American professional wrestling star Jay Briscoe – real name Jamin Pugh – has died aged 38 in a car crash in Laurel, Delaware.

AEW founder Tony Khan confirmed the news: “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he has been a star of ROH for over 20 years, from his first show to today,” Khan wrote on Twitter on the evening of January 17, New York Post news.

“Jay and his brother have dominated ROH, becoming champions by far. We will do whatever we can to support his family. Rest in peace,” he added.

Many people also expressed their condolences to this ill-fated star.

“I was in tears when I heard the news. I could not speak. Rest in peace Jay,” wrestler Cash Wheeler, from the FTR team, wrote on Twitter.

Professional wrestler Danhausen also shared: “One of the highlights of my career and brief ROH time was not only working with the Briscoes but also having the privilege of wrestling with Mark and Jay. Please rest in peace.”

Briscoe joined ROG in 2002 and is known as one of the best wrestlers in the world.

He competed against his brother – Mark – and the famous pair of wrestlers known as the Briscoe brothers. They have won the Ring of Honor world 13 times, according to BBC.

World Wrestling Entertainment director of content Paul Levesque called Briscoe “an incredible performer who has forged a deep connection with wrestling fans around the globe”.

“My condolences to Jay Briscoe’s family and friends,” he said.
