| Amnesty extends to April 30: Qatar Interior Ministry

Doha: The Qatari Ministry of Interior has announced that the amnesty deadline for March 30 has not been extended to April 30. Those who remain in the country in violation of visa rules must apply by April 30 for correction of documents through the Search and Follow-up section of the Home Ministry.

With this amnesty announced on October 10, 2021, many expatriates have already corrected the errors in the documents.

Company owners and expatriate workers will have the opportunity to rectify inaccuracies in the documents during the amnesty period with a 50% penalty. The home ministry said it had been given one more month to ensure that the benefit was available to all.

Those who want to transfer sponsorship from one employer to another should apply at the service centers of Al Rayyan, Umsalal, Al Wakrah, Misamis Occidental and Umm Senim.

The Interior Ministry said those who need to repair documents while remaining under the current sponsorship can also avail the services of Dukhan, The Pearl, Souk Waqif, Al Shahania, Al Khor, Al Dayan and Unaisa centers.
