The media, Amr Adib, announced that he had obtained the referral order in the case of bribery of the Ministry of Health, revealing for the first time the names of the accused in the incident.

Adeeb said, during his presentation of the “Al-Hekaya” program, broadcast on MBC Egypt, that the referral decision was issued by the First Public Prosecutor of the Supreme State Security Prosecution, and accused in the case are: Mohamed Abdel-Majid Al-Ashhab, senior specialist at the Misr Life Insurance Company, and Malik El-Sayed. Attia Ibrahim Al-Fayoumi, Hussam Al-Din Abdullah Fouda, a pension officer, and Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Behairy, Director General of the Licensing Department of the Free Treatment Department.

Adeeb added that the case is not in the case of Dr. Hala Zayed, the Minister of Health, nor her son, nor any of her relatives, continuing: “The prosecution investigated the incident, and everyone must take his right. The woman has clean hands and was working with all her energy for the sake of Egypt.”

The Public Prosecutor had ordered the referral of 4 defendants for criminal trial in a case of bribery and influence-peddling to obtain favors from Ministry of Health officials.

And the Public Prosecution stated in a statement that it directed the prosecution to the first defendant that he asked for 5 million pounds and took him from him 600,000 pounds as a bribe from the owners of a private hospital, through the mediation of two other defendants, in exchange for using his influence to obtain from officials in the Ministry of Health decisions and benefits related to non-implementation of a decision Closing the hospital to run it without a license, and preparing a false report that proves – contrary to the truth – that there were no violations there, and the fourth suspect was charged with committing that forgery.

The Public Prosecution stated that it established evidence in the lawsuit from the statements of 13 witnesses, including the hospital owners who informed the Administrative Control Authority of the bribery incident upon its request, and Saira the bribed with the permission of the Public Prosecution until his arrest, as well as the statements of the two defendants who mediated in the bribery, examination of the accused’s seized mobile phones and other Proved by the correspondence confirmed the commission of the incident.
