An 11-year-old scout who went missing yesterday in Mettet was found this morning

An 11-year-old boy in a camp near Biesme, in the town of Mettet in the province of Namur, disappeared during a totemization test organized yesterday afternoon. He was only found this morning. He is fine, he is in the company of his mother and is recovering from his emotions.

During Sunday afternoon’s race, he was dropped off with two other comrades in a place called. They had to show themselves able to locate themselves using a map and return to the camp site, where their leaders were waiting for them. But now, around 8 p.m. last night, the little boy has still not returned, while his two companions have returned.

The chiefs then set out to find him, quickly joined by the villagers. But it was not until this morning shortly before 8 o’clock that the little boy was found.

Several messages from concerned people had reached us via the orange Alert us button: “The disappearance takes a disturbing turn. Some people say they heard the child cry for help in the woods but he is nowhere to be found. Please help us find this little boy, he must be scared to death.”wrote Agathe.

Other messages confirmed the presence of a helicopter which criss-crossed the area for part of the night.

It is finally thanks to the solidarity of the inhabitants who mobilized on the spot and on a Facebook group that the young scout was able to be found.
